Sunday Series | Freddie Rose, Founder, Vintage Threads
We caught up with Freddie Rose, Co-Founder of iconic pre-loved fashion brand, Vintage Threads; to find out what Sunday means to him. Founded on a love for vintage pieces and the unique form of self-expression they offer, Vintage Threads has evolved from a side hustle during Freddie and co-founder Charlie's time at Newcastle University, into a nationwide brand with flagship stores in London and Manchester. Scroll down to find out what he told us.
TELL US A BIT ABOUT VINTAGE THREADS
Our mission is to provide a sustainable alternative to traditional high street fashion through our highly curated, preloved collections.. We sell a range of streetwear, designer, sports wear across our stores. I still pinch myself that we even have a shop in Covent Garden because it’s been a dream since forever to have a vintage shop and to see people engaging with your pieces.
DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT SUNDAY
It’ll probably start out with a bit of a work out. I'll try and get an F45 session in and then take a little walk up to Primrose Hill, get some brunch and then head back and ideally watch Man United and we get 3 points (although that’s usually the bit where the whole Sunday falls down to be honest).
WHO DO YOU SPEND SUNDAYS WITH?
My fiancé also runs a business so we try and keep Sunday as our sacred day - so yeah, I always love to spend time with her. If I’m watching the football, I'll probably be with my dad or one of my mates.
GO TO SUNDAY OUTFIT?
I’m a bit of a mood man when it comes to dressing so it depends on what mood I wake up with... Sunday is definitely on the wholesome side of my 7 outfits of the week though - I’d probably say a pair of adidas trackies and maybe a rugby shirt.
WHAT DOES SUNDAY MEAN TO YOU?
Taking a bit more time over the coffee I have feels like a Sunday for me - it's all about slowing down and taking time for the body, calling home, chatting to my parents, my sister – she’s just had a baby so checking in with them too.
SUNDAY COCKTAIL?
I don’t like anything too fancy, just a nice refreshing drink - I love a Tom Collins, probably something like that or a Spritz I’d say.
SUNDAY EVENING SPOT?
We’ve been trying to get into our boujie cinemas recently. Get a cheeky cocktail in, watch a film and elongate the evening rather than getting the Sunday blues..
